Michelin turns down BAR?

BRITISH AMERICAN RACING has announced that it is staying with Bridgestone next year following the signing of a new long-term agreement with the Japanese tire company.

Our sources suggest that BAR wanted to use Michelin rubber but was turned down by the French firm which already has seven teams to supply and thus does not have to accept any new ones.

Bridgestone has only Ferrari, Sauber, Jordan, Arrows and BAR.
