The proposed Mercedes-Benz Heritage and Technology Centre at Brooklands has been granted planning permission by Elmbridge Borough Council. The centre, which will be built on a 150-acre site at Weybridge in Surrey is intended to act as a showcase for the marque and will have a test track on which Mercedes-Benz customers can test out their vehicles. It is anticipated that the centre will be used for the cars being produced at nearby McLaren. In order to get the planning permission the development included 60 acres of country park and riverside nature walks. The plans also include a business development and a four star hotel.
