McNish completes Imola test for Toyota
ALLAN MCNISH put the Toyota Formula One car through its paces as the team completed a three-day testing session at the Imola circuit on Thursday.
Toyota took to the Imola circuit for the first time this week and it was the first occasion the team had moved away from the Paul Ricard circuit in the south of France.
McNish said: "The test was enjoyable and interesting. It was very important to try the car on another circuit.
"Conditions were different to those of a Grand Prix weekend, with less rubber down on the track, making lap times slightly slower. However, we were very encouraged."
Toyota Chief Designer Gustav Brunner added: "Considering it was the first time we have driven on a GP circuit this Imola circuit was very positive and encouraging."
Toyota take their next stage in preparation for next year's Formula One debut by testing in Monza from 11-13 of June.
