McLarens dominate in Valencia as Coulthard tops the times
MCLAREN dominated testing at Valencia on Wednesday as David Coulthard and Alexander Wurz topped the times - leaving Ferrari's Rubens Barrichello trailing in their wake.
Coulthard posted a quickest lap time of one minute and 14.73 seconds, as he outpaced his rival Barrichello, who was third quickest, in a six-man test at the Spanish circuit.
The duo, who will pit wits against each other in a title battle in 2001, both concentrated on Bridgestone's 2001-spec tires although Barrichello was hit with mechanical problems during the morning session.
Arrows' Jos Verstappen went fourth quickest as he outpaced Jordan pair Ricardo Zonta and Heinz-Harald Frentzen. Zonta had been hampered by brake problems throughout the day.
