McLaren signs Sonax

The McLaren Formula 1 team has signed a deal with Sonax, the German vehicle polish company. The company logo will appear on the rear wing endplates of the two McLarens. The deal is a long-term one but the team gave no indication of how many years are involved.

The company can trace its roots back to 1905 but became independent from its parent company Hoffmann & Sohne KG in 1983. Since then the firm has been very active in motorsport initially with Zakspeed in 1988 but later in DTM and then as a backer of the Williams team.
