Manning lands Team St. George CART ride
BAR test driver Darren Manning will drive the Team St. George entry in the Rockingham 500 CART race on September 14th.
Ray Mallock Ltd will run the car at the 500 mile oval race, with help from regular CART team Dale Coyne Racing. Manning ran the RML Lola B2 at the Rockingham circuit recently, completing the manditory 100 mile rookie orientation program that CART requires before a driver can compete in the series.
Other Britons in the running for the seat were Johnny Herbert, who reportedly turned down the drive, and McLaren test driver Darren Turner.
