Malaysian election to clash with F1 race

The Malaysian general elections will take plan on the same day as the Formula 1 Grand Prix, but the race organisers say that this should not present any problems.

The Malaysian general elections will take plan on the same day as the Formula 1 Grand Prix, but the race organisers say that this should not present any problems despite the fact that voters have to go back to their home towns to vote and thus visitors from outside the Kuala Lumpur may have to choose between watching the race or voting. There is no possibility of the Malaysian date being changed by the Formula 1 authorities.
