JUAN PABLO MONTOYA set the pace in Michelin's Magny-Cours testing on the opening day but on day two it was the Sauber of Nick Heidfeld that set the pace.

Meanwhile Jenson Button, who was up on the pace on the opening day, was only 0.3s ahead of an impressive Tomas Enge in the Prost by the close of the second day's running.
