Liuzzi in the spotlight

Vitanonio Liuzzi claimed the 2001 World Karting Championship at Kerpen on Sunday for the CRG team.

VITANONIO LIUZZI claimed the 2001 World Karting Championship at Kerpen on Sunday for the CRG team. Liuzzi is fast-developing as one of the brightest talents for the future and in addition to becoming the World Karting Champion he finished second in the German Formula Renault title at his first attempt in single-seater racer. Liuzzi is expected to be a frontrunner in Formula 3 in 2002 but is believed to have already had some offers to race in Formula 3000.
