The last time Charles Leclerc drove his Ferrari in the rain was when he spun out of the race in the German Grand Prix. So how important was it for him to get back out in the in the rain during practice in Hungary?

"At the end I was not so down after Germany, even though it was a mistake from my side," he said.

He was sixth and seventh fastest in the two Friday practice sessions in Hungary.

"Overall it has not been a very good day today," he said. "We have been struggling quite a lot with the balance, so we need to work for tomorrow, try to find a solution, and then hopefully we will be closer to the top.

"Overall we are struggling a little bit with the downforce level that we have. It's a track where we need a lot of downforce, we knew it would be a difficult track for us, so we need to work and try to improve for Saturday."

Was the lack of long runs for all drivers good for Leclerc or did it make things tricky?

"Well in the end it is the same for everyone," he said. "It will be all about trying to anticipate what will happen on the Sunday. I think everything will be quite different on Sunday for the race, a lot warmer than it was today, no rain, so yeah, we will see Sunday."
