Lausitzring declared insolvent
The company which runs the EuroSpeedway at Lausitzring in the old East Germany has declared itself to be insolvent.
The Germans hope that the facility will continue to operate (as does CART which is the one big event which the Lausitzring does have) and the latest rumors are that likely buyers include Octagon (which runs most of the racing circuits in Britain), the France Family's International Speedway Corporation and its rival Speedway Motorsports Inc.
