Kumho dreams of F1
The Korea tire company Kumho supplied the tires for the International Formula 3 race at Changwon over the weekend and the F3 runners reported that the rubber was pretty impressive.
"I was extremely surprised by the high quality of these tires," said race winner Jonathan Cochet. "They are so consistent."
The company says that it plans to build up experience in motor racing with the ultimate aim of getting to Formula 1 to show the company's technical skills.
Kumho has been making tires since 1960 and is now the 10th largest tire company in the world but has big plans for international expansion.
