Klien versus Paffett in the Grand Prix of Brackley

Our spies in Brackley report that things are now coming to a head in the competition to become the Honda Racing F1 test driver next season. Anthony Davidson will soon be officially confirmed as a Super Aguri F1 driver for next year, alongside Takuma Sato and the race to replace him seems to be between Gary Paffett and Christian Klien. Both men have considerable F1 experience, Klien as a racer with Jaguar and Red Bull and Paffett with many miles of testing with McLaren.

It is perhaps worth noting that Klien and his father/manager Johannes Klien were guests of Honda in Brazil and that the pair were spotted this afternoon dropping in to the Honda factory in Brackley but that does not mean that Paffett is out of the picture.

It seems there is a race to the flag.
