Jordan and Coulthard not talking
DAVID COULTHARD is most definitely not in talks about a drive with Jordan Grand Prix next year, according to the Silverstone-based team.
Over the Austrian Grand Prix weekend several newspaper reports suggested that the Scottish driver was in talks with Jordan about next year.
The team signed British star Damon Hill in 1998 and the publicity they gained from his arrival was immense. However, they are not plotting a similar move for next year.
On the team's official website, Jordan said: "In response to various reports claiming that Jordan is talking to David Coulthard about joining the team, Jordan Grand Prix would like to state categorically that this is untrue.
"It is based upon rumors without substance. Jordan Grand Prix is very happy with its current driver line-up and is not looking to make any changes."
Coulthard won the Austrian race to strengthen his position in second place of the championship, while both Jordan drivers retired after failing to get away at the start.
