Jaguar to stick with R3

JAGUAR has been hard at work in Barcelona the past three days comparison testing the R2 and R3 chassis to determine which they should race when the F1 championship returns to Europe in three weeks, and they seem to have come to a decision.

Niki Lauda reported Friday that the R2's services will not be needed this year, and the team will continue to put all its resources into developing the new car. "The performance differential between the two is just not big enough to go on with last year's car. Also we cannot afford to spend precious resources on any kind of parallel development, so this is where we are and I am satisfied we have done everything to make sure that our next move is forward."
