Jaguar to go back to the R2?

JAGUAR RACING may have scored three points in Australia but the team is well aware that luck was an important element in Melbourne and it is not likely to happen again. The team is planning to use the R3 again in Malaysia (for practical reasons) but it looks likely that the underperforming machine will then be sidelined and the R2 will be revived for the rest of the season - or until the R3 shows itself to be a better package. That will mean the team will have a great of development work to do.

The car has suffered problems with its aerodynamics, rear suspension design and engine and in spite of the result in Australia the team is holding crisis meetings this week because of the less than impressive qualifying performance in Australia, where the Jaguars were beaten by Mark Webber's Minardi.
