It's party time in the UK

THE British will be celebrating the Golden Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II in the course of the next four days with Monday and Tuesday having been declared national holidays and a string of events being planned all over the country. The Queen came to the throne in 1952 and has been the head of state ever since. The last major jubilee in 1977 resulted in a huge wave of patriotism and despite some setbacks in recent years the royal family is as strong as ever in the eyes of the British public. The jubilee celebrations will include a rock concert in the Buckingham Palace gardens and street parties and on Tuesday there will be a huge parade in London following a thanksgiving service in St Paul's Cathedral.
But while Britain will be having some time off, the Formula 1 teams will not be getting any rest as the cars are being despatched to Canada and the race teams will be following shortly.
One wonders if there is anything that will stop Grand Prix racing these days...
