Three additional events have been announced by Formula 1 to extend the 2020 season to 13 races.

Eifel Grand Prix will take place on October 11th at the Nurburgring, followed by the Portuguese Grand Prix in Portimao, in the Algarve, a new circuit for F1 on October 25th, followed a week later by the Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix2 at Imola on November 1st.

The race at Imola will run in a new two-day format. F1 is set to allow a limited number of spectators to attend.

The F1 Group also announced that due to the current Covid-19 situation, the races in Brazil, United States, Mexico and Canada will not be rescheduled later this year and are cancelled.

The Nurburgring last hosted a race in 2013, which was won by Sebastian Vettel, while Imola last hosted the San Marino GP in 2006, which was won by Michael Schmacher over Fernando Alonso.
