Pedro de la Rosa had a pretty miserable United States Grand Prix. He made a poor start and dropped to the back of the field and then his Jaguar suffered a transmission failure and the back end of the car caught fire as it rolled to a stop beside the race track. The track marshals got pretty excited about this and began spraying the car with their extinguishers while de la Rosa was bundled away from the scene and told to jump over the barrier. This he did but unfortunately they forgot to tell him that behind the barrier was a drainage ditch., Pedro disappeared over the barrier and promptly fell six feet into the water.

"Unbelievable!" said Pedro as everyone sniggered quietly at his misfortune...
