JOHNNY HERBERT, who has remained competitive in sports car racing since his departure from Jaguar Racing after the 2000 season, will compete in the Indianapolis 500 with Duesenberg Brothers Racing.

The 37-year-old Briton has won in Formula One, twice with Benetton in 1995 and once with Stewart in 1999, and won Le Mans in 1991 in a Mazda. A few weeks ago, Herbert more recently won the 12 Hours of Sebring for Audi in the ALMS.

Duesenberg Brothers Racing is run by the descendants of the legendary car-making family, who's cars won the Indy 500 in 1924, 1925 and 1927.
