EXPERIENCED racer Johnny Herbert will return to the cockpit of a Formula One car today (Wednesday) when he undertakes for the first time his test-driver duties with Arrows.

Herbert, who failed to secure a drive in the American ChampCar series after he left the Jaguar Racing team at the end of last season, will test the new A22 car.

"He will be in the car today (Wednesday) and will run on all three days of the test," said a spokesperson for Arrows.

Herbert was signed by Arrows just before the start of the season in an aim to provide the team with the experience and knowledge gained from his 12 years in Formula One.
