SAUBER driver Nick Heidfeld completed just four laps in testing at Silverstone on Tuesday before concerns over his health ended his spell in the car.

Heidfeld was forced to pull out of the 10-team test after just four runs after feeling the after-effects of his collision with a wall during the Canadian Grand Prix.

He completed four laps with a best time of one minute and 27.770 seconds before team officials ordered him to return to Germany to rest.

"I was hoping to cover more than four laps, but that's the way these things go," Heidfeld said, before flying from the circuit.

"Most of the time I feel okay but I have a slight headache. It is best to have a proper check up."

Finn Kimi Raikkonen will take over from Heidfeld in the second day of testing at the circuit on Wednesday.
