Head compares Button to Prost

BMW-WILLIAMS technical director Patrick Head has compared Jenson Button to four-times world champion Alain Prost because he is so calm under pressure.

Head has been impressed with the performance of the 20-year-old Briton in his first year in Formula One and insists that Button reminds him of Prost in his early days.

"What strikes me about Jenson is that his style is remarkably reminiscent of Alain Prost - smooth as silk," Head said.

"Jenson is unbelievably calm, not just for a bloke of 20, but for a grand prix driver full stop.

"In qualifying in Belgium we asked him if he wanted any changes made to the car and he said: 'It's fine I'm just playing myself in. I think I can find some more time' - and he did."
