Frentzen refuses to comment on Toyota switch

JORDAN driver Heinz-Harald Frentzen on Saturday refused to comment on stories linking him to a move to the Toyota team for next season.

JORDAN driver Heinz-Harald Frentzen on Saturday refused to comment on stories linking him to a move to the Toyota team for next season.

Rumors in the paddock at the Nurburgring ahead of this Sunday's European Grand Prix suggested German Frentzen could be on his way to Toyota, who will come into Formula One for the first time in 2002.

But when asked if he could confirm or deny the link to Toyota, Frentzen said: "I cannot comment on that at the moment."

If Frentzen were to join Toyota that would jeopardize the racing future of Allan McNish and Mika Salo, who are expected to take up the driving duties for the team next season.
