Forsythe quits CART board

Gerry Forsythe has not had a good week.

GERRY FORSYTHE has not had a good week. His partner Craig Pollock was bounced out of British American Racing, leading to speculation that Forsythe's share of the team will be bought out by Prodrive, and now Forsythe has left the board of directors of CART, having been opposed to the appointment of Chris Pook as the new chief executive of the business.

Pook has yet to give full details of how he intends to go about rebuilding CART but it seems for the moment that he is planning to follow the pattern established in the last few years and go back to a mixture of ovals, road course and street tracks.
