Ferrari signs Barrichello through 2004

Ferrari announced Thursday that they have signed Rubens Barrichello to a new contract through the 2004 season.

FERRARI announced Thursday that they have signed Rubens Barrichello to a new contract through the 2004 season, ending the rumors that the Brazilian would be replaced and solidifying the team's major personal for two more years.

Barrichello signed with Ferrari in 2000, and has won once, while supporting Michael Schumacher's three championships with the team.

The Brazilian has voiced his concern over his role with the team, sparking rumors that he would leave at the end of the 2002 season, or be forced out and replaced by another driver, possibly Sauber's Felipe Massa.
