Ferrari replaces Hilfiger
FERRARI has replaced its clothing deal for next season, with American fashion label Tommy Hilfiger making way for the Fila sportwear brand in a three-year deal to 2005.
Hilfiger, which carries branding on the Ferrari mirrors, has made the team's clothing since 1998. The deal now passes to Fila, which will also market Ferrari-branded sports and foot wear that for retail worldwide.
Fila originally supplied Ferrari through the 1980s and early 1990s, and will see its new deal extend beyond Formula 1 to include the Ferrari 360 Challenge in the USA, Europe and Japan. As with Hilfiger, it will also supply a full range of shirts, jackets, shoes, trousers, body warmers, sweaters, and travel wear such as sports coats to the members of the Formula 1 team.
