Ferrari improve test facility
FERRARI is developing their Fiorano test track as they concentrate on all areas of their operation and continue their onslaught on the Formula One world championship.
The team has already begun their improvement program with building work on a sprinkler system that will enable them to improve their wet-weather track simulations.
The new system will replace the current method of spraying water from trucks, and is the first of several changes to the Emilia-Romagna track, which is located close to Ferrari's Maranello factory.
The team is also concentrating on improving safety at the circuit by developing larger run-off areas, and they are also installing new pit garages and a mechanics' gym.
The new full-circuit water spray system will be fully installed by the start of April, after which the team will be able to test in full wet-weather conditions.
That will to ensure they are able to put in more impressive performances like their dominant one-two finish in Sunday's Malaysian Grand Prix.
