European Minardi confirm new sponsor
THE European Minardi team have announced a new sponsorship and technical partnership with Austrian-based company Gericom AG.
Gericom AG specializes in IT and electronics and will work with the European Minardi team with immediate effect.
European Minardi team chairman Paul Stoddart has worked with Gericom AG before in the F3000 Championship and is delighted to have renewed the partnership.
Stoddart said: "We first came to know Gericom for their sponsorship for the European Formula 3000 team in last year's championship and really appreciated their enthusiastic support for our efforts.
"We're extremely pleased they have now decided to join us in Formula One and, as with all our sponsors, we will be working hard to ensure they derive the maximum commercial benefit possible from their relationship with European Minardi F1.
Gericom AG will have their logo on the barge boards and nose of the cars of European Minardi drivers Fernando Alonso and Tarso Marques.
