Enge to race in the US
Czech driver Tomas Enge appears set to deputize for the injured Luciano Burti in the second Prost at Indianapolis, just as he did in the Italian Grand Prix.
As each day passes the probability of that happening reduces and once he is completely stable the doctors will then bring him out of the medically-induced coma in which has been placed. Zanardi is expected to remain in intensive care for at least another week before beginning the long and difficult process of learning to live with artificial limbs.
The CART teams are now gathering at Rockingham in England but Mo Nunn Racing has decided that he will not be running Zanardi's car. The team will however field Tony Kanaan in its second car and Nunn says that he intends to run two cars again at Houston on October 6 although there is no clear indication at the moment as to who will drive the car.
