Two weeks ago in Monza Ferrari chairman Luca di Montezemolo launched a bitter attack on Bernie Ecclestone, saying that he was taking too much out of the sport and not giving enough back. He said the Ferrari was 100% behind the GPWC. Two weeks later Ecclestone had his revenge with a tirade against the Italian car firm which he says is selfish
in blocking proposed changes to the regulations.
Ecclestone said that the car-by-car qualifying has been "a complete disaster" and Ferrari will not agree to change.
Whether or not this will help F1 to find a solution for the long term is another mattter.
