Dome abandons F1 plan for 1997

THE Dome Formula 1 team has abandoned its plans to enter Grand Prix racing in 1997 and is now looking for money for 1998.

THE Dome Formula 1 team has abandoned its plans to enter Grand Prix racing in 1997 and is now looking for money for 1998. The team launched its F1 project in March in Japan and testing of a prototype Mugen Honda-engined F105 began in May. The plan had been for the team to test in Europe in July but these test never happened because money was short.

Reports from Japan suggest that the F105 is not a bad car and has been lapping relatively swiftly in testing.
