Daddy Mika

DOUBLE World Champion Mika Hakkinen became a father today when his wife Erja gave birth to a boy. The couple were in Finland rather for the birth rather than in Monaco where they live. Hakkinen missed the FIA Prizegiving Gala in Monte Carlo to stay with his wife but McLaren was represented at the ceremony by David Coulthard and Ron Dennis.

Hakkinen is expected to go back into action testing shortly although for a while Coulthard and test driver Alexander Wurz will do the bulk of the development work.
