...but Alain speaks out

Alain Prost has launched a highly critical attack on the current generation of Formula 1 team owners.

Alain Prost has launched a highly critical attack on the current generation of Formula 1 team owners. Prost, who has ambitions of being a F1 team owner within the next decade, said in an interview with the Swiss Journal de Geneve newspaper that "F1 needs a new team with an able manager who wants to question the system and look at the sport's problems through fresh eyes."

Prost said that F1 is badly run because "it restricts itself to the ways of the past." The four-time World Champion added that "F1 is a fantastic machine for making money and that is principally what interests its leader Bernie Ecclestone."
