British F1 Greats converge on Silverstone

SILVERSTONE will welcome a host of British Formula One greats this weekend when it celebrates 50 years of the World Championship.

SILVERSTONE will welcome a host of British Formula One greats this weekend when it celebrates 50 years of the World Championship.

Nigel Mansell, Jackie Stewart and Stirling Moss will lead the British F1 contingent at the Northamptonshire track with back-up from John Surtees, John Watson, Tony Brooks, Roy Salvadori and Dickie Attwood.

Other drivers including Jack Brabham will also be appearing and taking part in the celebration by driving a selection of Formula One cars around the circuit under the watchful eye of Murray Walker.

The event will also feature the Footman James Silverstone RetroRun with some 400 classic vehicles converging on the track and an array of trade stands and automobilia.
