FERRARI technical director Ross Brawn remains cautious over Michael Schumacher's chances of landing a fourth world title, despite the German's healthy 31-point lead leaving him 50-1 ON to win the drivers' championship.

Schumacher's success at Magny-Cours was his sixth win of the season but Brawn admitted that he was fearful of gremlins putting a spanner in the works during the next few races.

Brawn said: "It is nice to have that gap than not have it, but a couple of DNF's and life gets very difficult for us again.

"It is nicer than not having the gap but I am not going to make predictions, but attack is the best form of defence."
