Boudy leaves Peugeot Sport
JEAN-PIERRE BOUDY, the technical director of the old Peugeot Sport, has left the company, which has now been reorganized by its new owner Asiatech.
Trained by France's famous competition engine builder Amedee Gordini, Boudy's engines have not been very successful in recent years and his move is not a surprise. The technical directorship of Asiatech is now held by chassis engineer Enrique Scalabroni who is managing the various different design departments at Peugeot Sport. The company says that it has lost virtually none of the other Peugeot Sport staff although it remains to be seen whether this will continue to be the case as nearby Renault Sport expands and goes out looking for experienced F1 engine men.
