Barrichello reported to become a father

FERRARI driver Rubens Barrichello is reportedly set to become a father for the first time.

Reports in Brazilian newspapers and magazines have claimed that Barrichello is set to become a father this year, at the end of his second season with the Italian team.

The reports claim that Barrichello's wife Silvana is expecting a baby, the couple's first in four years of marriage.

Silvana, 25, is believed to be in her first month of pregnancy, and will spend a period of rest together with her husband at the end of the Ferrari driver's European testing schedule.

"The news gives me even more strength to go well," said Barrichello. "I feel it's going to be a great year."
