Barrichello on top again at Mugello

FERRARI'S Rubens Barrichello topped the times for a second consecutive day in testing at Mugello after running a preparation schedule ahead of the German Grand Prix at Hockenheim.

Barrichello completed 53 laps of the Italian circuit before the team carried out a planned engine change. He set a fastest lap time of one minute and 26.699 seconds in the afternoon after running to a set-up program.

The Brazilian outpaced Prost's Jean Alesi, who had taken over from team-mate Nick Heidfeld, and Minardi's Marc Gene, both of who were concentrating on set-up work ahead of next weekend's Hockenheim event.

Times from Thursday's testing at Mugello:

POS DRIVER ENTRANT TIME
Rubens Barrichello Ferrari   1:26.699
Jean Alesi Prost 1:28.308
Marc Gene Minardi 1:30.028
