Asiatech's future

The Asiatech company is facing an uncomfortable future as there currently no Formula 1 teams which want to use its engines next season. Asiatech intends to respond to this at Monza by announcing that it has designed and is developing a Formula 1 chassis for 2004.

The Asiatech company is facing an uncomfortable future as there currently no Formula 1 teams which want to use its engines next season. Asiatech intends to respond to this at Monza by announcing that it has designed and is developing a Formula 1 chassis for 2004 and that it is looking for finance to fund the project. A car has been designed at the Asiatech UK offices in Didcot, Oxfordshire (the old Williams factory) and a windtunnel model has undergone considerable testing but at the moment there is no money to put together a team.

It remains to be seen whether the Asiatech F1 car will ever see the light of day.
