Arrows running - for now...

Tom Walkinshaw says that he has paid some of the bills in order to get Cosworth Racing to agree to release the electronic boxes of the engines so that the Arrows team can run at the British GP.

TOM WALKINSHAW says that he has paid some of the bills in order to get Cosworth Racing to agree to release the electronic boxes of the engines so that the Arrows team can run at the British GP. This was necessary in order for the team to avoid defaulting on its contract with Orange.

But despite Walkinshaw's statements the future of the team remains in considerable doubt. Walkinshaw is a survivor - as he has proved in a series of cases in the past - but there remains considerable doubt as to whether he can pull Arrows out of the mess in which it finds itself.

The Formula 1 community is hoping that the team can be saved as another 200 people being put out of work does nothing for the image of the sport, which has been battered by the revelations in recent days.
