Arrows driver De la Rosa backs his team

PEDRO DE LA ROSA, who is yet to secure his seat at Arrows for next season, has backed his team to improve as each race passes.

PEDRO DE LA ROSA, who is yet to secure his seat at Arrows for next season, has backed his team to improve as each race passes.

"We have a strong and motivated team," commented the Spaniard, "Both Jos [Verstappen] and I are totally focused to do well for ourselves and the team.

"It will only happen by working together, but I can only see us getting better and better."

The season began with intense optimism at Arrows, but a fragile car and a number of driver errors have seen the team's cars retire 15 times so far.

At the last race in Hungary, the team finished 13th and 16th, and they have just four points in total. The backing from De La Rosa comes at a time when both the team and the driver are looking for a boost.

He added: "We are sure that since the season started we have surprised a few people with our performance. The team has worked hard to improve and that is something I'm positive we can keep up."
