Arrows appoint new race team manager
THE Arrows Formula One team announced on Monday that Michael Ainsley-Cowlishaw has joined the team as race team manager.
The Leafield-based team have been searching for a replacement following the departure of Steve Nielson in December and have appointed Ainsley-Cowlishaw, who has been with Benetton since 1980.
"I'm really looking forward to being a part of such a growing team at Arrows," Ainsley-Cowlishaw said. "It'll be a great new challenge, and I can't wait to get into it and start scoring points. Hopefully we can win some races."
Ainsley-Cowlishaw was chief mechanic with Benetton last season and held the position during Michael Schumacher's world championship winning season in 1994. He has also worked with drivers such as Nelson Piquet.
