Arrows and Jaguar - is the windtunnel deal on or off?

The deal between Arrows and Jaguar racing over the Bedford windtunnel may not be going through as planned.

THE deal between Arrows and Jaguar racing over the Bedford windtunnel may not be going through as planned. Our spies say that Jaguar has become rather less interested in the idea in recent weeks and is now telling Arrows that if it wants to have Cosworth engines for 2002 it will have to pay on a commercial basis, as originally planned. This could cause some problems for the Arrows team as finding extra money is not easy at the moment and the team is already heavily in debt, although most of this is not actually payable for some years.

Jaguar will soon have its own windtunnel in Bicester, which has been built by Adrian Reynard and is based on the design used by BAR. There are also longer-term plans for an all-new Jaguar windtunnel at Milton Keynes.
