BERNIE ECCLESTONE says that he is looking at investing in both tennis and soccer with the money he hopes to raise from his planned Formula 1 bond issue.

BERNIE ECCLESTONE says that he is looking at investing in both tennis and soccer with the money he hopes to raise from his planned Formula 1 bond issue. Ecclestone has carefully built Grand Prix racing into a high profile business and reckons that the same can be achieved with tennis and soccer using the same basic principles.

"There should be only one World Championship in tennis," Ecclestone said. "I am actively talking to people involved with tennis and I think that will happen with or without me. The whole organization needs overhauling. There are too many tournaments and people find it difficult to know who is the best."
