Antonio Sabato Jr. selling F1 to the Americans

Indianapolis Motor Speedway has named actor Antonio Sabato Jr. as "celebrity spokesperson" for the United States GP.

INDIANAPOLIS MOTOR SPEEDWAY has named actor Antonio Sabato Jr. as "celebrity spokesperson" for the United States GP.

Sabato is the son of an actor who appeared in John Frankenheimer's 1966 epic movie Grand Prix (playing Ferrari driver Nino Barlini) and went on to be a spokesman for Ferrari between 1966 and 1976.

Sabato Jr. is best known as a Calvin Klein model but has made a number of TV appearances in shows such as "General Hospital," "Melrose Place" and "Ally McBeal" Sabato has spent the recent months working for Indianapolis, trying to bring F1 to the attention of the general public in the US.
