"Staging Formula 1™s first ever day/night race offers us the unique opportunity to demonstrate the circuit™s in-built flexibility and state-of-the-art facilities," says chief executive Richard Cregan. "It has always been our intention to showcase to the world this spectacular venue and this decision allows just that opportunity. It is the best of both worlds, spectators and television viewers will see the stunning architecture of the world™s newest F1 circuit during the afternoon sunlight and then experience what it is like under floodlights. We hope that everyone will be impressed by what they experience and see."

The track will use the same lighting technology that was seen in Singapore. The lights will be on from the start to ensure that the drivers do not struggle with the change. What will change will be the backdrop as the circuit buildings are expected to be colourfully lit to make the event all the more impressive.
