Alunni Bravi to depart Sauber team
Sauber Motorsport has announced that Alessandro Alunni Bravi will leave the F1 team at the end of January. Alunni Bravi, who joined the team in 2017, played a pivotal role in navigating its transition toward becoming Audi’s factory team.
Alunni Bravi initially joined Sauber as General Counsel and Board Member, leveraging his extensive motorsport experience. In 2022, he was appointed Managing Director, where he oversaw marketing, communications, and sales, among other functions. In 2023, he became the public face of the team as its Team Representative, leading its presence at race weekends and other key events.
Mattia Binotto, Sauber’s COO and CTO, praised Alunni Bravi’s contributions, stating, “Alessandro is a true team player who came to embody the essence of Sauber throughout the years. His leadership has been instrumental during challenging and exciting times alike. We wish him every success in his next endeavor.”
Reflecting on his tenure, Alunni Bravi said, “It is an emotional time as my journey with Sauber reaches its end. I have seen this team grow and evolve in ways beyond imagination. Representing this team over the last two years has been a privilege, and I leave with immense pride in what we’ve accomplished together.”
His departure comes as Sauber prepares for its next chapter under Audi’s stewardship, while Alunni Bravi’s next venture remains undisclosed.
