Alesi pleased after shakedown
JEAN ALESI completed the short shakedown test of his new mount, the Jordan EJ11, at Silverstone on Monday morning and the Frenchman continued to enthuse about rejoining the team with which he won the 1989 FIA Formula 3000 championship.
"We mainly concentrated on my seat and driving position to make me feel comfortable in the car and it was good to work with my car crew and engineers so we could get to know each other," said Alesi.
"The EJ11 feels very good to drive so I'm really looking forward to the Hungarian Grand Prix to experience its true potential and race in a car that has proved to be very competitive."
Alesi was limited to the short National circuit layout due to a busy day at the circuit, mostly on behalf of the annual 'Make a Wish Day' activities for terminally ill children at which Alesi, having made his Jordan track debut, is understood to have made an unscheduled appearance.
