Advances in technology are ruining our sport - Alesi
AN advance in technology is ruining Formula One, according to French driver Jean Alesi.
Alesi, who has competed in 183 Grands Prix, firmly believes new technology in the sport is making driving skills limited and at times believes the driver can get away with doing minimal amounts of work.
The Prost driver, who failed to score a championship point last season said: "What I'm really sad about is that there is a lot less space for the driver now.
"We're often asked how much of the impact is the cars and how much is the drivers. I don't want to say that the driver is not important anymore but it is very close.
"Sometimes I drive the car and I can't believe it. You cannot do anything."
